EFEKTIVITAS PLATFORM READWORKS DIGITAL READING DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN READING COMPREHENSION

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi seberapa efektif platform ReadWorks digital reading dalam meningkatkan kemampuan reading comprehension siswa sekolah menengah. Sebuah desain dalam subjek digunakan, di mana siswa mengalami dua fase perlakuan: penggunaan metode konvensional dan penerapan platform ReadWorks digital reading. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas dua di SMA Negeri 1 Pace, menggunakan tes reading comprehension standar untuk menilai kinerja mereka. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t sampel berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam skor reading comprehension siswa ketika  menggunakan metode platform ReadWorks digital reading dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa nilai p untuk kelompok eksperimen (p = 0,000) dan kelompok kontrol (p = 0,000) berada di bawah ambang batas signifikansi 0,05, yang menghasilkan penolakan Hipotesis Nol (H0) dan penerimaan Hipotesis Alternatif (Ha). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa platform ReadWorks digital reading efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan reading comprehension di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini menambah dukungan terhadap integrasi perangkat digital dalam pendidikan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
